The dialysis tubes are supplied in 8¡± sticks containing 35 feet of 22 mm internal diameter tubing. The amount of tubing required can be calculated using 3.7 mL sample per cm of dry tubing. To use it, a researcher simply pulls out the required length of tubing, cuts it off and applies a closure. The sample is then added through the other end of the dry tubing and the second closure is applied.

The Float-A-Lyzer G2 features biotech grade cellulose ester (CE) membrane. The low protein-binding, ultrapure membrane (no heavy metals and sulfides) is available in nine precise MWCO''s from 100 to 1,000,000 Daltons. The color-coded, re-sealable screw cap eliminates leaks associated with knots, closures, and needle punctures and allows repeated access for in-process testing. The cylindrical tubing geometry prevents sample dilution and provides open access for total volume retrieval with included pipette. The included floatation ring and weighted bottom maintain vertical orientation during dialysis. This design also permits several units to fit in a single reservoir. This ready-to-use separation device delivers the efficiency of dynamic dialysis to significantly reduce dialysis from 1 to 2 days down to 4 to 12 hours. The Tube-A-Lyzer incorporates biotech-grade CE tubing that separates the sample chamber from the surrounding flow-through buffer chamber.
